At PREP Studio, your privacy matters. This policy explains what data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have. Please read it carefully.
PREP Studio operates the PREP Workspace platform at prepapp.name.ng. We are the data controller for personal information collected through our services. You can reach us at hello@prepapp.name.ng.
We collect information you provide directly — such as your name, email address, and any content you create or upload inside PREP (scripts, breakdowns, storyboards, etc.). We also collect information automatically when you use the platform, including your IP address, browser type, device identifiers, pages visited, and feature usage patterns. If you connect a third-party account (e.g. Google), we receive basic profile information from that provider.
We use your data to provide and improve the PREP platform, authenticate your account, process payments, send service-related communications (account confirmations, security alerts), and respond to support requests. With your consent, we may also send product updates and newsletters. We use aggregated, anonymised usage data to understand how features are used and to guide product development.
Some PREP features use AI models to analyse your script content and generate suggestions (breakdowns, schedules, shot ideas, etc.). Your content is sent to our AI processing pipeline solely to deliver these features. We do not use your creative content to train third-party AI models, and we do not sell it to any party.
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us operate PREP (cloud hosting, payment processors, email delivery, analytics) under strict data-processing agreements. We may disclose data if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of PREP and its users.
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes. Anonymised, aggregated data may be kept indefinitely.
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data — including encryption in transit (TLS), encrypted storage, and access controls. No system is completely secure, so we encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data; to restrict or object to certain processing; and to receive a copy of your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@prepapp.name.ng. We will respond within 30 days.
PREP is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Our platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for their privacy practices. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites you visit.
PREP is operated from Nigeria and uses cloud infrastructure that may process data in other countries. By using PREP, you consent to the transfer of your information to countries that may have different data protection laws than your own.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by email or by a prominent notice on the platform. Continued use of PREP after the effective date of any change constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
